He is one of the first children to board the Taranis when they set off on a rescue mission for their abducted parents.

Biography

Fascinated by mechanics and a desire for knowledge, Socks s driven by curiosity. He is easily excited by topics on knowledge, often speaking rapidly even though he is usually more reserved. He has difficulty talking with girls.

Socks is a terrier Caninu who is dressed in a top adorned with military badges and has slightly patched shorts. He wears a small pair of spectacles that fit his studious personality.

History

Fuga: Melodies of Steel

Early Life

Socks grew up as a studious and observant engineer aspirant, often making amateur inventions for kids around Petit Mona. His greatest weakness is talking with girls. He stutters around any he meets except for Hanna due to their childhood friendship, and Mei due to her young age.

Sacrifice

Socks is initially hesitant to go inside the cannon. However, as he marvels at the technology and realizes he can save his friends, Socks goes in and gives up his life.

After the War

Socks continues his studies after the events of the war, cherishing having a peaceful study of his own compared to the cramped and crowded Taranis.

Gameplay

Fuga: Melodies of Steel

Socks is all about versatility. He's the second strongest Grenadier behind Jin, but is more flexible. He has greater mastery of status effects than other members, with skills that inflict smoke and flame on all enemies, while his Hero Mode adds a chance of inflicting shock, smoke and/or flame to his normal shots. Meanwhile, as a support member, his skills increase luck (and thus critical hit rate) and his support attacks add a chance of inflicting the previously mentioned statuses.

Trivia

• Socks has the same surname as Merveille Million. He is confirmed to be her and Red's ancestor, both in a conversation in game with Malt and a tweet by the creative director.
  • Ironically, he is the only one of the kids to have a confirmed canonical descendant, despite having girl troubles.
• Socks is the only child who doesn't have a food-related surname due to the aforementioned relation.
• Along with Boron, Socks was the second most sacrificed during gameplay tests.
