Ash

History, gallery, general info.
Ash (アッシュ, Asshu) is a mysterious figure first introduced in the Fuga: Melodies of Steel manga, with his first in-game appearance being in Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2's true ending. He will be a significant character in Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 where he leads the Crimson Knights.
He is the eldest sibling of three, with Mei Marzipan being the youngest and Malt Marzipan being the middle child.
Physical appearance
Ash is a young German Shepherd Caninu man with light brown fur, long blond hair styled in a ponytail, and a short fluffy tail dressed fully in red. He wears a dark red long sleeve shirt and pants, a tattered fedora of the same color adorned with a wing-shaped emblem, and a lighter red cape with tassels and many small holes. His outfit is covered with belts and tubing connected to tubular containers and circular devices with an unknown orange fluid. He also wears bandages around his hands, metal shin guards, and broken shackles around his ankles.
Ash's design in his first appearance in the manga is completely different, appearing almost exactly like Carmine with minor elements taken from Quynne's design, notably the crosses from Quynne's outfit added to the chest and hips and the shackles moved from his wrists to his ankles. He had a longer snout and no visible dog ears or claws like Carmine. His design had not yet been finalized, only being finalized around the production of chapter 28.5[1]
Personality
Currently it is difficult to pin down exactly how Ash feels and behaves around others. At times he is supportive of maintaining balance within his world, such as when he saved Malt from the Soul Cannon with a dummy soul. Other times he is homicidal and dismissive, going as far as killing his own parents and mocking his brother over it (as seen in the Revengers anthology).
Abilities
Despite official materials claiming that Ash's abilities are not yet known, the manga has featured him exhibiting the following:
Precognition
Ash has the ability to "see" future events, particularly regarding his brother Malt.
Dimension Bullets
Ash carries a small, futuristic handgun that can shoot what is literally translated as a "dimension bullet". Depending on what angle he aims this, it can open a portal to his desired location.
History
Before Fuga: Melodies of Steel
An unknown time before the first game, Ash betrayed the Free Lands of Gasco and sided with the Berman Empire, becoming a member of the Crimson Knights, their most elite warriors. It is also presumed that he killed his mother and father before this, subsequently abandoning his younger brother and sister to the care of his grandmother and grandfather.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2
Ash makes his first gameplay appearance in the true ending of the game as the "Mysterious Shadow".
A few days after the ending of the game, Malt awakens after hearing a sound over the radio. He feels compelled in his half dazed state to return to the Forbidden Cave once housing the Taranis, and is shocked to see the Taranis in pristine condition sitting in the cave though unknown means (after it previously was presumed lost forever after being thrown into the Cloud Sea). Shortly afterwards, a mysterious individual reveals himself and remarks how much Malt has grown.
