Nipon is a sky island country in the world of Little Tail Bronx. It is located east of Prairie Kingdom and north of the Shepherd Republic. Before the Reset, Nipon was previously Japan which it takes its name after.

History

The Great Calamity

The Great Calamity was a tremendous earthquake that struck Nipon some time before the events of Solatorobo. Due to the chaos it had brought to the sky island, Tasuku Yashima and his fellow Rescue Rangers had worked together in rescue operations and reconstructing. This disaster had lead to the creation of "Disaster Prevention Mail", a telepathic system that sends urgent information to Rescue Rangers.

Mamoru's grandfather would also go missing after the calamity. Residents of Nipon have reported sightings of him throughout time and have spread rumors that he is actively seeking out the cause of the disaster, which clues point to it being the Earth Dragon.

Introduction of Robos

After the events of Solatorobo, Merveille Million meets with Tasuku to discuss introducing the currently booming technology of her Robos to Nipon, which was still somewhat behind the times technologically. After a mountain had collapsed, the crew of the Asmodeus head towards the sight and prove how strong and useful the Robo can be for rescue missions. Both Merveille and Tasuku agree to begin utilizing her technology with the latter Caninu being granted management duties in the future.

Geology & Weather

As with most other major sky islands in Little Tail Bronx, Nipon is composed of an archipelago of 47 smaller islands. The country is located in a remote area and suffers from severe weather conditions. This had caused the country to be fairly secluded when it came to interactions from other countries, though this changed with the advent of the "Age of Exploration".

Locations

Fukouka

Fukouka is where Mamoru and his friends & family reside. It's home to a large port which acts as Nipon's gateway for foreign airships.

Trivia

  • Fukouka is based off the real-world Japanese prefecture Fukuoka, where Mamoru serves as a safety mascot.
