Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is the second installment to the Little Tail Bronx series of video games and "spiritual successor" to Tail Concerto.

The story follows the protagonist Red Savarin, a hunter, who's on a mission to steal a file from a cargo ship in exchange for a handsome sum of rings. While rummaging for some extra loot, him and his adopted sister Chocolat Gelato end up rescuing a mysterious Felineko child in the midst of a gargantuan mech and other strange creatures destroying the ship. The story unfolds from here, becoming a multi-chapter adventure full of excitement, drama, and more.

The game first released in Japan in October 2010 on the Nintendo DS, being a very late title to the platform. It would then be translated and released in Europe during July 2011 and then North America the following September. In a 2015 interview, the game was estimated to have sold a total of ~100,000 copies, about 50,000 less than its predecessor.[1] This has caused copies of the game to spike up in price dramatically, making it one of the most expensive titles for the DS globally. Complete boxes average between $400-$600 USD.

Despite poor sales and lack of proper advertising, Solatorobo has slowly become a cult classic among retro game enthusiasts and the furry & kemono online communities, the latter being groups CC2 took quick notice of and catered to as the years went on. In 2017, development would finally begin on an entire prequel trilogy titled Fuga: Melodies of Steel, which uses much of the world building material established during Solatorobo's development.
