Template:Videogame Infobox Tail Concerto 2 was the proposed direct sequel to Tail Concerto. It was never released and had never entered proper development, though some concept art had managed to be preserved over its decade-long conception.

History

CyberConnect2 had proposed Tail Concerto 2 to Bandai in hopes of taking advantage of the new capabilities of the Playstation 2. The game was swiftly rejected, with Bandai's executive producer Daisuke Uchiyama stating selling a sequel to a game that didn't even sell is ridiculous. The proposal was even thrown into the trash.[1]

In 2003 CC2 would propose the title again without success. They would propose this yet again in 2004 to no avail.[2]

After the rejection, CC2 would go on to create .hack and Naruto videogames in order to show their worth as a videogame developer. When the company had gained enough expertise they would go on to create Solatorobo: Red the Hunter. This totaled in 10 years of conception and 3 years of development for a sequel. Solatorobo would be proposed again as Tail Concerto 2 before Bandai requested for CC2 to quit using the title.
